What the British Prime Minister said to Biden on the phone

The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Boris Johnson has spoken on the phone for the first time since his inauguration with the new President of the United States Joe Biden.

The BBC reports on Sunday that Boris Johnson tweeted after the phone call that the bond between the United Kingdom and the United States would be even stronger. The United Kingdom and the United States have worked together to overcome the situation of coronavirus infection.

Joe Biden was sworn in as president last Wednesday. And Kamala Harris was sworn in as vice president. The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom says the United States has taken a step forward with their inauguration.

A spokesman for Downing Street said Johnson congratulated Biden on his return to the Paris Agreement on climate change and the World Health Organization. The spokesman added that Boris Johnson praised Biden for his plans to tackle climate change by 2050.
