Stop putting pressure on Taiwan. China to the United States

Online desk The United States has called on China to end pressure on Taiwan. The US State Department said in a statement on Saturday. According to a report by the UK-based news agency Reuters.

Earlier on Saturday, eight Chinese bombers and four fighter jets entered the air defense identification zone in southwestern Taiwan. The United States has called on Beijing to end pressure on the region following allegations by Taiwan's defense ministry.

"We urge Beijing to end its military, diplomatic and economic pressure on Taiwan," State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement. Instead of applying pressure, I urge Beijing to engage in meaningful dialogue with Taiwan's democratically elected representatives.

The Sino-Taiwan conflict began in 1926. At that time civil war spread all over China. In 1949, the Communist revolutionaries led by Mao Zedong ended the civil war by overthrowing the nationalist government. Nationalist leaders fled to Taiwan. They still control Taiwan. Initially, the war ended, but both countries began to assert themselves as China's claimants.The Taiwan-based government claims that China has been illegally occupied by communist revolutionaries. And the Beijing-based Chinese government considers Taiwan a separatist province.
