Twenty students of the Hadith department of Jamia Islamia Younusia Madrasa have been expelled for attacking a government building in Brahmanbaria on March 26. They were expelled by an order signed by Madrasa Education Secretary Mufti Shamsul Haque Saraili on Monday night.All the 20 expelled students were studying Hadith or Takmeel Hasid in the Daora of Jamia Islamia Yunusiya Madrasa in Kandipara of the district town during the 2020-2021 Christian academic year.
The expelled students are Ashek Elahi, Abu Hanif, Misbah Uddin, Ashraful Islam, Alauddin, Mobkul Hussain, Rafiqul Islam, Mubarakullah, Borhan Uddin, Abdullah Abzal, Md. Jubayer, Hezbollah Rahmani, Jubayer, Shibbir Ahmed, Iftekhar Adnan, Saiful Islam, Md. Solaiman, Rakib Billah, Tareq Jamil and Md. Habibullah. All of them will be 20 to 22 years old.According to an order signed by Mufti Shamsul Haque Saraili, Education Secretary of the Madrasa, the district government building was attacked on the afternoon of March 26, disregarding all the rules and regulations of the Madrasa and violating all the rules and regulations of the Madrasa.
The madrassa authorities have learned that 20 students of the madrassa took part in the attack. So they have been expelled from the madrasa.Despite repeated attempts to find out about the matter, it was not possible to contact Mufti Mubarakullah, principal of Jamia Islamia Younusia Madrasa and general secretary of the district custody. Madrasa Education Secretary Shamsul Haque Saraili's mobile phone was blocked after several attempts but could not be contacted.Abdul Haque, a senior teacher at Jamia Hochin Madrasa, told Newsstar that on March 26, the madrasa teachers tried to keep the 20 students in the madrasa. But the students left the madrasa ignoring the ban of the madrasa teachers.
They attacked government installations. Asked why he was expelled a month after the incident, he said the issue had not been discussed for so long. The issue has been discussed recently. So they have been expelled from the madrasa.Meanwhile, police arrested Mufti Zakaria Khan, 43, assistant publicity secretary of the district custody on Sunday night. There have been 56 cases of violence in Brahmanbaria. Police have so far arrested 569 people in these cases. Most of them are Hefazat workers.
