Six soldiers have been killed in a suicide bombing by the militant group Taliban in Afghanistan. The bomber struck shortly after noon in front of a military base in the eastern province of Nangarhar. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. This was reported by Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera.
According to the report, the group launched a violent attack two days after the United States claimed that the Taliban was not abiding by the agreement.The Taliban promised to return from terrorist activities and help stop the activities of other jihadist organizations in Afghanistan, such as al-Qaeda. The governor of Nangarhar issued a statement on Saturday's attack. He said the bomber himself came to the base carrying a bomb and detonated it. Ajmal Omar, deputy head of the provincial council, put the death toll at 15.
Meanwhile, Taliban spokesman Jabihullah Mujahid claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement.
