False information has decreased on social media after Trump was banned

The Twitter account of outgoing US President Donald Trump has been permanently banned due to the risk of inciting violence following the attack on Capitol Hill in the United States. Since then, misinformation about the US election on social media has dropped by about 63 percent. This was stated by a research organization called Signal Lab.

The study said that soon after Trump was banned for life on Twitter, fake information quickly disappeared from social media. Since the November 3 election in the United States, Trump and his supporters have been making allegations of election fraud on social media without raising any evidence.

Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol on January 8, the day Democrat President Joe Biden approved the victory. "I love you," Trump tweeted to those protesters. Trump also called them "patriots."Then, on January 6, US President Donald Trump was permanently fired from Twitter. This information has come to light from a report of the British media BBC. The move comes amid "the risk of inciting future violence," Twitter said.
