7 Bangladeshis in Interpol's red notice The list includes Bangabandhu's murderer, war criminal and accused in the August 21 grenade attack



Eight Bangladeshi nationals are on the International Criminal Police Organization's (Interpol) red alert list. Two of them, human traffickers, have been arrested recently.

Bangladesh seeks Interpol's help in nabbing human traffickers after 26 Bangladeshis were killed in Libya last year. So far, six of them have been arrested and a red alert has been issued on November 25 by the International Police Agency. Two of them have been arrested.

The two human traffickers arrested in Bangladesh are Shahadat Hossain of Madaripur and Zafar Iqbal of Kishoreganj. Notices have been issued against a total of 8 people in the human trafficking ring. CID arrested Shahadat Hossain from the airport And Zafar Iqbal has been arrested in Italy.

In May last year, human traffickers shot dead 27 Bangladeshis in the Libyan city of Mizdah, Bangladesh police said. Shahadat and Zafar are the accused in that case. The other four accused are Bangladeshi Mintu Mia, Swapan, Nazrul Islam Mollah and Tanjirul. Interpol issued a red alert on November 25 last year to arrest them.

The names and identities of 6 Bangladeshis are now in the red list of Interpol. Those whose names are on the list are also told the type of crime. There is address, age and picture.

Among the six are the names of the fugitives convicted in the Bangabandhu murder case. There are names of fugitives convicted in war crimes cases. They are Bangabandhu's killers Nur Chowdhury, Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Nazmul Ansar, Shariful Haque Dalim, Ahmed Shariful Hossain, Moslem Uddin and Rashed Chowdhury. Abdul Jabbar Engineer and Maulana Abul Kalam Azad are among the fugitives convicted in the war crimes case.

The list includes the names and photos of Maulana Tajuddin, a fugitive in the August 21 grenade attack case, BNP leader Haris Chowdhury and former MP Golam Farooq Avi.

Red notices have also been issued in the names of the top terrorists in Bangladesh who have absconded at different times, including fugitives convicted in human trafficking and murder cases.
