Entrepreneurs with training 3670 entrepreneur

Saidunnesa Anik started a small scale software business on Elephant Road in the capital in 2016. But after the corona outbreak in Bangladesh in March last year, his business began to shrink. Faced with financial losses, he was finally forced to close his business in May. You will know next month that Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) is giving one month training without any money. With the training, Saidunnesa has already set up an e-commerce platform called B-Bay, where 10 employees are also working.

In January 2019, BIDA undertook a project titled 'Youth Power, Prosperity of Bangladesh' with the aim of creating entrepreneurs in the country. The cost is 49 crore 50 lakh. Under the project, 24,000 educated unemployed from all over the country are selected who are interested in investing. The minimum qualification for taking this training is HSC pass and age is fixed at 18-45 years. Bidar has already trained 20,600 people in 64 district offices.

Bidar officials say that according to an international survey, the post-training entrepreneurial rate is 1 to 2 percent, while the entrepreneurial rate through this project is 20 percent.This reporter talks to five people who have become entrepreneurs with training from Bida.
