An Israeli spy has returned home after serving 30 years in prison in the United States

Jonathan Pollard, the country's spy, has returned to Israel after spending more than three decades in prison in the United States. The spy was welcomed at the airport by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. He was jailed for secretly handing over US information to Israel. He took a job in the United States Navy as a spy.

Jonathan Pollard and his wife returned to Israel last Wednesday on a private Esther plane. The plane belonged to Sheldon Adelson, a millionaire casino businessman. He is known to be a supporter of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Netanyahu was at Tel Aviv airport to welcome Pollard and his wife. He handed them an Israeli ID card.

"We are happy to be back home after 35 years," Pollard said. We are citizens of Israel. I thank the Prime Minister for bringing us to this country. '

Netanyahu said Pollard would now be able to start a new life independently and happily.
