Will there be a US-Russia agreement with Afghanistan?

Russian President Vladimir Putin and US President Joe Biden spoke at the Geneva conference on June 16. Putin told Biden at the meeting that US forces would be able to use Russian military bases in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan if they wanted to take care of Afghanistan.

The Kremlin has made this offer out of selfless altruism, of course not.Russia does not want the United States to establish a base in the region, which is why it wants to allow the United States to use its air bases. Putin's offer is undoubtedly tempting to Biden. That's why Biden is examining whether the proposal can be accepted. Central Asia, located between Russia and China, is about the size of the European Union.

The region has once again made headlines for bad news due to the violence in Afghanistan. With the withdrawal of all US troops from Afghanistan, the 20-year war is coming to an end at a cost of ৩০ 230 billion. The United States apparently did not gain in this war. As many as 2,312 US troops have been killed in the US-led war. 20 thousand 6 people were injured. In addition, 3,800 private security contractors working in Afghanistan have lost their lives.

But the biggest storm has hit the Afghan people. According to Brown University's Costs on War project, 47,245 Afghan civilians were killed in the fighting. Out of this, 6,000 to 69,000 Afghan soldiers have been killed.Over the past four decades, 2.7 million Afghans have fled war in Pakistan, Iran and other European countries. Of the 40 million Afghans, 3.5 million have fled their homes and taken refuge elsewhere in the country.

Biden is unlikely to follow Putin's offer. Top Russian officials have recently met with top Taliban leaders. At the meeting, the Taliban assured Moscow that they would not cross the Central Asian border, fight other radical Islamist groups and ban drug production in Afghanistan.
