China is vaccinating Afghanistan with four lakh corona. The information was given by the Afghan officials on Monday. Earlier, Afghanistan received five lakh vaccines from India.
Golam Dastagir Nazari, an Afghan health ministry official, said the Chinese ambassador to Kabul had told him about the vaccination at a meeting with the ministry's officials. Synoform made in China will be vaccinated. However, Golam Dastagir Nazari did not say when the vaccines would reach Afghanistan.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has approved the vaccine for Chinese synoform. The five lakh vaccines that Afghanistan has already received as a gift from India are from the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine, produced at the Seram Institute of India.
Corona vaccination activities began in Afghanistan last week. 12,000 health workers in 34 provinces have already been vaccinated. In addition, the security forces have started vaccinating members, an official said.
So far, 55,633 coronas have been identified in Afghanistan. Of these, 2,444 people died.
