A 200-meter-long tunnel has been found near the Bangladesh border in Karimganj district of the Indian state of Assam. The tunnel connects the Indian state of Assam on one side and Bangladesh on the other.
Police say the secret tunnel was used by international smugglers and miscreants on the border between the two countries. It was a crossroads for border smuggling and human trafficking. The area falls within the Nilambazar police station area of Karimganj district.
